Four holiday homes in a renovated village café in Reningelst, with their own booking module next to Booking.com: a second stream of bookings, without commission.
In Reningelst, a village near Poperinge, Vanessa and Sam renovated an old village café from top to bottom and turned it into four holiday homes: Arthur, Lucie, Florent and Albertine. Each house has its own character, and guests come for the quiet of the Westhoek.
Huyze Basco had only just started, and it soon became clear that the bookings would not come by themselves. The homes were listed only on Booking.com, reservations came in more slowly than hoped, and every stay left a commission with the platform.
We built a full website with an integrated booking system. It syncs with Booking.com, so a house can never be double-booked: what is taken on one channel is taken on the other. Each home got its own page with photos, amenities and an availability calendar.
The effect was twofold. Guests who book through the site book directly, without a commission going to Booking.com. And the website became a second stream of bookings alongside the platform, so reservations started coming in much faster.
