Privacy statement
Which personal data Atelier Web processes, why, for how long, and what your rights are. The cookies on this site are listed here too. Last updated on 20 October 2026.
Who is responsible
The controller is Marmotec BV, trading as Atelier Web, Velpestraat 21, 3360 Bierbeek, Belgium, enterprise number 1041.399.918.
For any question about your data: louis@atelier-web.be or +32 468 15 94 56. Louis Quinet handles these questions personally.
What data we process
Through the quote request form. The details you fill in yourself:
- required: your name, your e-mail address and your message;
- optional: the name of your business, your phone number, your municipality, your sector, the type of project, a file (image or PDF) and how you found Atelier Web.
The form also automatically sends the language and the page from which you submitted it. When processing the form, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and the time of submission, to filter spam. For this, Netlify checks every submission with the Akismet spam filter.
By e-mail and phone. Your contact details and the content of our correspondence.
If you become a client. The data needed for the quote, the project, maintenance and invoicing, such as your company details, VAT number and billing address.
When you visit the site. Like any web server, our hosting provider keeps technical logs (IP address, browser, requested page, time) to run and secure the site. If you consent, we measure visits with Google Analytics (see Cookies). We use no advertising tools.
Please do not send sensitive data through the form, such as health data, or documents you do not want to share.
Purposes and legal bases
- Answering your request and preparing a quote. These are steps you ask for before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Following up a quote or question, for example a reminder if you have not replied yet. This is based on our legitimate interest in following up requests properly (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time.
- Carrying out a project and its maintenance if you become a client: performance of the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Accounting and tax obligations if a contract follows: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- Securing the site and the forms and preventing abuse or spam: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Measuring visits with Google Analytics, to see which pages are read and improve the site: only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not build profiles, and no decisions are made based solely on automated processing.
How long we keep data
- Requests without follow-up: at most 12 months after the last contact.
- Clients: for as long as we work together, then as long as the law requires for accounting, which is 10 years in Belgium.
- Attached files are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed for your request or project.
- Technical logs of the hosting provider: according to that provider's periods.
- Statistics in Google Analytics: 14 months, after which they are deleted automatically.
Who receives your data
We do not sell your data or pass it on for advertising. Only these service providers process it on our behalf:
- Netlify, Inc. (United States): hosting of the website and processing of the forms.
- Microsoft (Microsoft 365): receiving and sending e-mail.
- Brevo (France): sending the confirmation e-mail after a request.
- Our accountant, only for invoicing and bookkeeping of clients.
- Google Ireland Limited (Ireland): visit statistics through Google Analytics, only if you consented.
Agreements on the processing of personal data are in place with these providers. Beyond them, we only pass on data when the law requires us to.
Transfers outside the European Union. Netlify is based in the United States. This transfer relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which are part of Netlify's data processing agreement.
Google Analytics and Microsoft 365 data may also be processed in the United States. Google LLC and Microsoft Corporation are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, on which that transfer relies.
Security
The site only works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only Louis Quinet has access to the requests and the mailbox. The accounts with our service providers are personal and protected by strong, unique passwords, and data that is no longer needed is deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data and get a copy of it;
- have incorrect data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- have the processing restricted;
- object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- receive your data in a common format or have it sent to someone else (portability);
- withdraw any consent you gave, at any time.
Send your request to louis@atelier-web.be. You will get an answer within one month. For a complex request this period can be extended by two months; we will tell you so within the first month. If we have doubts about your identity, we may ask you to confirm it. Exercising your rights is free of charge.
Complaints
If you are not happy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You can also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
Cookies
This site uses one functional cookie and, only with your consent, the Google Analytics cookies.
Functional, no consent needed.
- lang: remembers the language you picked in the menu (Dutch, French or English), so that on your next visit to the home page you land in that language straight away. Cookie from atelier-web.be itself, kept for 1 year.
- aw-consent: remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so we do not ask again on every page. Stored in your browser (local storage), never sent anywhere, kept for 6 months.
Analytics, only with your consent. On your first visit, a banner asks whether we may measure visits with Google Analytics. Only when you click Accept does the site load Google Analytics and set these cookies:
- _ga and _ga_J50LR8VM6P: Google Analytics cookies on atelier-web.be that recognise the same browser to count pages, visits and where they come from. Kept for 2 years.
Google signals are off and the site refuses advertising cookies and ad personalisation: the statistics are not used for advertising or profiling. If you decline, nothing is loaded and the site works as usual. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie settings, also at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, we delete the Google Analytics cookies.
The site loads no other third-party content, such as social media buttons, videos or maps from external services.
