Atelier Web

Website for car garages

Website for car garages

A car garage website should let a driver see what you repair, ask for an appointment and trust you before they arrive. Atelier Web builds garage sites in English, Dutch and French, which helps garages near Brussels and Leuven that serve expats who prefer to explain a problem in their own language.

What we hear

  • Drivers call to ask whether you work on their make, and the answer is on no page anywhere.
  • Expat customers struggle to explain a strange noise in Dutch or French and pick a garage that speaks English.
  • Appointment requests come in by phone while you are under a car.
  • Your used cars are listed on large portals, but buyers cannot find your garage's own page.
  • Reviews on Google are the first thing people see, and the site does not back them up.

What should a car garage website contain?

Start with what you do, sorted the way drivers think: servicing, tyres, brakes, airco, diagnostics, preparing a car for the technical inspection, bodywork if you do it. One short section per job, in plain words. Under that, the makes you work on, because “do you do Toyotas?” is one of the most common calls.

Then the appointment page. A form that asks for plate, make, model, mileage, the job and a preferred day gives you everything to plan, and the driver does not have to wait on the line.

If you sell used cars, give them their own page with photos, year, mileage and fuel type, and explain that every car comes with its Car-Pass. Add an about page with the people in the workshop, your opening hours, a map and a link to your Google reviews.

For a garage that serves international residents, an English version of these pages is worth more than any other addition.

How do customers find a car garage online?

Usually at a moment of mild panic. A warning light comes on, a tyre goes flat, the inspection date is close. People search “garage near me”, “tyre change Kortenberg” or “car service English speaking Brussels”, and Google shows a map with nearby garages and their stars.

Your Google Business Profile, with correct hours, photos and replies to reviews, decides whether they call you. The website then has to confirm that you handle their car and their problem. Pages that name your town, the neighbouring towns, the makes and the jobs help you appear for those searches.

AI assistants are also asked things like “garage in Leuven that services hybrid cars and speaks English”. They recommend businesses whose pages state those facts in plain text.

How does Atelier Web build a car garage website?

Louis starts from your request. He wants to know which jobs bring in the most work, which makes you see most, whether you sell cars and how appointments reach you today.

A quote follows with only the pages you need. Once you agree, Louis visits the garage at a quiet moment to see the workshop and meet the team. The design uses photos of your own workshop and team. Louis writes the copy after that visit and you check it, so the technical language is right and the tone is yours.

Atelier Web has no garage in its portfolio yet. The nearest project is Bikesensation in Beernem, a bike shop with rental and leasing. After launch, Louis helps you set up your Google Business Profile. Sites are written in Dutch, French or English. The yearly maintenance package covers hosting, the domain name and WordPress updates.

What does a car garage website cost?

A quote follows your first message, by email or phone. The main factors are the number of service pages, whether you want an appointment form or a booking tool with slots, whether used cars need to be listed and linked to a portal, extra languages and photography.

Every quote covers design, copy, the build, the connection with Google and a handover so you can change hours and stock yourself. The yearly maintenance package covers the domain name, WordPress updates and backups.

Should a garage list its used cars on its own site?

Portals bring buyers, and you should keep using them. Your own page adds trust. A buyer who sees the car on a portal will search for your garage by name, and a tidy page with your stock, your workshop and the people behind it makes the visit more likely.

Keep it simple to maintain: a short card per car, removed when it is sold. If you already manage stock in a dealer tool, it may be possible to show that feed on your site. Explain your setup to Louis and the quote will reflect it.

03Frequently asked questions

Questions car garages ask about their website

Does a garage need a website if it is on Google Maps?

Yes. Google Maps shows your address and reviews, but drivers want to know whether you work on their car and how to book. A site that answers those questions turns a search into an appointment.

Can customers book a service appointment online?

Yes. Most garages begin with a request form and confirm by phone or email. A booking tool with fixed slots is possible once your planning allows it.

Should I put my used cars on my own website?

It helps, alongside the portals. Your own page shows that the cars come from a garage people can visit, with service history and the Car-Pass handed over at sale. Buyers who search for your garage by name will find them there.

Is an English version useful for a Belgian garage?

If you are near Brussels, Leuven or another area with many international residents, yes. Atelier Web works in English, Dutch and French, and writes each version so it reads naturally.

Does Atelier Web have garages in its portfolio?

Not yet. The closest project is Bikesensation, a bike shop in Beernem with rental and leasing. Louis approaches a garage the same way: talk first, then build only what the workshop needs.

Who takes care of hosting and the domain name?

Atelier Web. Hosting and the domain name are part of the yearly maintenance package, along with updates, backups and security. You have one contact and nothing technical to follow up.
